What are groups?
Groups allow you to organize bills that have shared expenses. For example, if you have Rent that is split among 2 roommates, you could create a group called “Apartment”, and then invite your roommate to the group. This will allow you to assign a share of the Rent to each person and keep track of each of your payments. You can also use groups to organize similar expenses. For example, if you have a bunch of magazine subscriptions you could create a group called “Magazines”. Since this isn’t necessarily a shared expanse, you could just leave yourself as the sole member of the group. This is especially helpful when you’re looking at your reports to see exactly where your money is going.
Groups are where Fotolog members can join together in appreciation of common subjects like dogs, cats, or even their favorite coffee! Each group has a theme and all the pictures submitted follow the theme. The great part about groups is that you can show your best pictures of all kinds of things to a wide audience that shares your interests.
A group is just another feed, but multiple people can contribute to its contents. Think of it as a mini FriendFeed for a particular subject or group of people. Everyone in the group can share stuff with each other and leave comments that others in the group can see. Your FriendFeed subscriptions include the Groups you’re a part of. There’s no limit to the number of groups you can join or create. As a group owner, you can manage the group’s settings and membership, and invite new people to your group, even if they’re not FriendFeed users yet. And when you use the FriendFeed bookmarklet, to share anything from the web, you can also specify whether to share it on your feed, or just to a particular group. When creating a new group, you can choose between having a private group, a public group, or a “standard feed”, which is just like other public feeds in FriendFeed, except they can have multiple authors.
Groups are a community of online groups for people to join with common interests. Groups are accessed by clicking on the groups icon in the top right side of your screen. There can be public and restricted groups. Groups are usually “joined” by individuals who become members. Group members can be added individually by the group leader, if needed. New groups must be requested by submitting the online form and need to be activated by the group administrator. The person who creates the group is the group leader. Management of the group homepage can be shared by more than one person if the group leader sets up permissions accordingly.
