Grille bars are used for two purposes. Initially, they provide an enhancement to styling. They look rugged, strong and connote durability. They also serve a purpose in off-roading. When a truck goes through brush and vegetation it is possible for the headlights to be broken by limbs and flying rocks. The grille bars also protect the bumpers and grille from being dented.
