What are Grief and Loss Counseling and Groups?
All human beings experience the pain of loss. Most of us experience the loss or death of loved ones. Some of us get stuck; others just need some company along the path toward emotional healing. Emotional healing is an individual process, but normally has predictable milestones, commonly shared terrain, and a trajectory to reintegration of the self. The mind/body experience grief together, not separately. Attending to the thought processes that lead to emotions is just part of the work needed for the healing process.
