What are grids, grills, mullions, and do I need them?
A. Years ago windows were constructed of separate pieces of glass held in place by a grill work of wood (that’s the tic tac toe look in your window). Now windows are made of full pieces in the sash (actually double panes) with fake “grids” in between the panes of glass to give a home an original look. They are only decorative now and you may choose to add them or not as an extra.
