The best “toys” right now are mom/dad and some good books. Constantly interact with your baby – a toy is essentially useless at that age if you’re not interacting and talking to them. Studies have shown that the two best learning products for children are books and blocks – skip the electronic junk with the lights and sounds. In fact, the studies showed that toddlers and preschoolers who played with blocks regularly had higher math scores up through college than those who didn’t. But for now, just talking, singing, and reading should give your baby more than enough.
