What are good tank mates for a Dragon Goby?
Dragon gobies get far too large for a 20 gallon, so it’s not even an option unless you go for at least a 40 gallon breeder, or better yet, a 75 gallon. That being said, they can be kept with most any other non-aggressive brackish fish. Mudskippers, anableps, various other brackish gobies…there’s plenty of options out there. Avoid the big stuff like monos, large scats, and spotted/figure 8 pufferfish. Fish that ARE suitable for the 20 gallon, actually freshwater (assuming you don’t want to mess with brackish unless you have to, like you would with the dragon goby) and are semi-aggressive include SA leaf fish, certain Tanganyikan cichlids, and small species up freshwater pufferfish like pygmy, Amazon zebra, and pignose. You could only choose one of these for that tank, but they’re all interesting.
