What are good exercises for losing fat from the stomach area?
There are a few issues here. The first is that the core abdominal muscles can become weak and loose to the point that they no longer hold your internal organs efficiently. Secondly, body fat tends to accumulate around the stomach area first– especially for men, whereas women keep it in their hips and thighs. Crunches aren’t the only answer. They will help pull your stomach in and will build up the underlying muscles, but they don’t do much for getting rid of the subcutaneous fat. You can’t actually target fat loss to specific areas, you can only lower your overall body fat percentage. If you want lean down, cardio exercises are best– running, swimming, and high-repetition / low-weight burn outs. And eat right.
