Most people would rather die than think: many do. Death is more universal than life; everyone dies but not everyone lives. Death: a punishment to some, to some a gift, and to many a favor. It is as natural to die as to be born; and to a little infant, perhaps, the one is as painful as the other. On the plus side, death is one of the few things that can be done just as easily lying down. You may be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper! It is impossible to experience one’s death objectively and still carry a tune. To me, funerals are like bad movies. They last too long, they’re overacted, and the ending is predictable.
