What are GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms)?

0

The term Genetically Modified Organisms, or GMO’s, refers to the changing of the genetics of a living organism to favorably affect its characteristics. The concern with GMO’s comes from the effect they may have on both human and environmental well-being, and much of the concern stems from the possibilities of what the future may hold – the long-term effects of tampering with the genetic materials of living organisms are simply not known for sure. Currently, there is no system in place to distiguish products containing GMO’s from those that do not. In fitting with Beautorium’s earth-friendly mission, we recognize the potentially negative aspects of GMO’s and the caution that must be taken with them – Beautorium’s customers can be confident that their purchases contain no ingredients coming from genetically modified organisms.
