Glow necklaces contain two chemicals that, when mixed together, create a colorful light effect which can last up to 12-hours. When you want to activate your glow necklace, simply crack the necklace to mix the chemicals and create the glow. Once activated, glow necklaces cannot be turned off. If you would like the glow necklace to glow longer, put it in the freezer since glow sticks last longer when exposed to cooler temperatures. When exposed to heat, your necklace will glow brighter; however the effect will not last as long.
