What are Giclées?
Giclée (pronounced ZHEE-clay) means”spray of ink.” The original painting is scanned into a computer with a high-resolution digital scanner. Color manipulations are made so the scanned image will be an exact color match to the original. The image is then sent to a state-of-the-art Roland printer. The fade-resistant, ultraviolet inks are rated to last from fading over 125 years! The images on this site are from the original scans used to print her artwork and are very representative of color and detail. These Giclées represent Jo’s work better than any other medium. They are limited editions, hand-signed and numbered, and will last for generations to enjoy. Giclées are printed at the gallery by Ed Kelley.
