What are functions of the following hormones including what they control and how they control it?
Wow, this is like a whole endocrinology course. All of these horomones have a LOT of functions. I would recommend looking it up for yourself, especially how they control it. I guess it also depends on how in depth you are looking, but it’s a lot of information. it would take pages and pages to explain this. Here’s a little on what they do, Adrenaline (also epinephrine) is responsible for the fight or flight response (dilated pupils, decreased intestinal tract movement etc) It’s a neurotransmitter of the sympathetic system. Thyroxin effects development, metabolism, metabolic rate, reproduction… It’s the active form of thyroid horomone. insulin is secreted during meals to increase glucose uptake glucagon is secreted when there is no food intake. progesterone is a horomone whose functions vary depending on sex.
