What are full spectrum light bulbs, and how are they different from other light bulbs?
This blogger has been using full spectrum light bulbs for several years without knowing exactly what “full spectrum” meant: GE’s Reveal line of light bulbs, which simulates natural light. These bulbs are pale blue, and they produce a cleaner white-looking light. While full spectrum light bulbs do not produce a true full spectrum light like the sun, it’s the closest thing to it. Full spectrum light bulbs are available in incandescent and fluorescent varieties. Compact fluorescent light bulbs use less energy than incandescent bulbs. We know that lighting can affect mood, and most people prefer natural light to artificial light.
