What are Flex Guest Entitlements in Red Hat Network?
Flex Guest refers to virtual guest entitlements that are not associated with a entitled host system. A host system can be Red Hat Enterprise Linux (see above for versions), VMware, Hyper-V, or Virtage. A Flex Guest entitlement can be managed with either an RHN Hosted account or via RHN Satellite 5.4+. Flex Guest entitlements enable you to assign entitlements to your virtual guests without consuming a standard entitlement reserved for physical systems. These entitlements are only available for certain subscription purchases. Please contact your Red Hat representative for more information regarding purchase of Flex Guest entitlements. If you have purchased a subscription that includes a Flex Guest entitlement, you will be able to consume it by registering a guest of an unregistered host. It is also possible to consume a Flex Guest entitlement by registering a guest of a registered host that is not Virtualization or Virtualization Platform entitled.
