What are Film and Media Arts?
The Film and Media Arts program offers hands-on masters programs to prepare students for a wide range of production, management and script writing opportunities throughout the media industry. The MFA in Film and Electronic Media prepares students for careers in media production and provides the historical and critical context necessary to teach at the university level. The MA in Film and Video provides a core of writing, production and theory courses. Film and Video students develop a concentration in film, video, multimedia production, digital photography, or script writing. Candidates in both programs may participate in a study abroad in Prague. The MA in Producing Film and Video offers working professionals the opportunity to earn a master’s on the weekend. This unique program prepares students for a career in producing or media management in film, video, television or multimedia.
