What are fields?
Fields are places within layouts where you input different kinds of data. It is the smallest level of organization in a database. Fields are areas of a record that stores information for example a person’s first name, last name, address, phone numbers, company name, etc. and these fields are always in the same place. It is the equivalent of a single line on a Rolodex card or to a cell in a spreadsheet.
