Sample data files that are collected on flow cytometers all follow an international standard called FCS. Each data file contains all the numeric fluorescence information for each cell, as well as a list of keyword values. FCS keywords organize information such as the date, parameter names (i.e., FL1), parameter stains (i.e., CD8 FITC) etc. Click here for a list of frequently used keywords.
