What are FAR clauses and why are they required?

A. FAR stands for the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Selected FAR clauses are incorporated into any contract that receives federal funds. RPSEAs prime contract with the government for administration of research and development awards specifies which FAR clauses must be included in our subcontracts. These clauses are included in Schedule B Part I and Schedule B Part II of the Sample Subcontracts. Detailed description of each far clause can be found at http://www.arnet.gov/far.
