What are factors in an experiment that are kept the same among all experimental groups?

Things that are kept the same are usually referred to as experimental constants. If the thing being kept the same may be effected by the experimental variable (or independent variable) then it may also be termed the dependent variable. For example if you were testing an experiment on a certain plant, although that plant is the same in each test, the outcome may be effected. However if you were using the same pot, soil, and water in each those are your experimental constants.
