What are External Multi-vector Threats?
External multi-vector threats are sophisticated, multi-component threats created by professional cybercriminals and designed to attack organizations through a variety of access points. Fueled by organized crime and motivated by money, these web-based threats grew at an exponential 1731% from 2005 to 2008. Examples of external multi-vector threats include combinations of spam directing to legitimate links that have been hacked to redirect to secondary links which ultimately download malware.
