What are Executors, Administrators and Beneficiaries?

0

A. An Executor takes control of your Estate and distributes it in accordance with your Will. If you die without a Will, or if your chosen Executor cannot or will not accept the job, the Court may appoint an Administrator. An Administrator distributes your Estate according to your Will, or if there is no Will, the Administrator distributes your Estate as required under intestacy legislation. Beneficiaries are the people or organizations that receive your Estate pursuant to your Will, or where there is no Will, pursuant to intestacy legislation.
