What are essential oils and what makes them so special?
Essential oils are extracted from plants. The resulting substance is aromatic oil containing the “essence” of the plant from which it was derived. While these oils are often synthesized in a lab using various chemicals (and known as Fragrant Oils) a scientist cannot imbue these man-made chemical concoctions with the “essence” of life that comes from real plants. Many people believe (in fact, they know) that essential oils continue to maintain medicinal and spiritual properties that can only come from nature.
