What are error, agent, referrer and transfer logs?
An Error Log stores data about errors generated by the server (e.g. Page Not Found error) or by your CGI scripts. This data is used to trouble shoot and fix script errors. An Agent Log stores data about agents used to enter the site — such as web browsers ( Internet Explorer, Nestcape ) or any other Internet-based software — and all related data. This data is used in compiling the statistics for your website. The Referer Log stores the list of URLs from which visitors are referred to your website. This data is used in compiling the statistics for your website.
