What are Eras?
Dreamlords The Reawakening uses an Era system, which means that the game world runs for aproximately 2 months and is then reset. Your Patria along with buildings, followers and resources vanish and everyone starts again anew with the dawn of a new Era. But – by the hand of Cael, the Cynos of Time, your Dreamlord, Dreamlord gear and traits remain untouched by the reversal of time. What benefits are there to this Era system then? A more fair competition – New players are given a chance to actually compete against veteran players. This means that the ladders and rewards are not just for those who have played the longest, but for anyone who works hard enough. Veteran players do get an advantage in their accumulated Dreamlord traits and stats however.Replayability – The dawn of each Era gives the player the chance to try something new. A different race than last time, a different strategy than last time. Maybe play a more hardcore style one Era, and a more casual style the other due to real
