What are EPA regulation standards for wash water?

0

At this time there are no EPA regulation standards for wash water when used in a closed-loop system. However, there are EPA regulation standards for the disposal of wash water. The EPA states that “the TEC (Transportation equipment cleaning) rule includes a low flow exclusion that applies to any facility that discharges less than 100,000 gallons per year of TEC process wastewater. Facilities discharging less than 100,000 gallons per year of TEC process wastewater will remain subject to limitations and standards established on a case-by-case basis using Best Professional Judgment by the permitting authority.” For more information on EPA regulations and standards visit www.epa.gov.
