What are Enrichment Clusters and what will they look like?
An Enrichment Cluster is a group of 10 to 15 students with a common interest who come together to create a real product or service. The clusters are formed based on input from the Student Interest Surveys. A teacher and/or an expert in the field of study will facilitate each cluster. Enrichment Clusters provide opportunities for students to apply the skills and knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world situations. Students work together to solve problems, create products, and further develop reading, writing, math, science, art, and music knowledge. Best of all, Enrichment Clusters make learning meaningful and fun for students; this excitement will carry over into the classroom. A cluster meets for about 1 hour per week for 6 to 8 weeks.
