What are empty legs?
It is estimated that approximately 40% of all charter flights are flown without passengers aboard. These “empty legs” become available when an operator flies a client on a one-way flight and then needs to reposition the aircraft without passengers on board. These flights represent a great opportunity to fly at greatly reduced costs if there is scheduling flexibility.
