What are Electronic Reserves (e-Reserves)?
Electronic reserves are reserved items (such as journal articles and book chapters) that are available online through the Ares Course Reserves system. Documents in the system are accessible via either an electronic link or a Portable Document Format (PDF) file and usually require Adobe Acrobat software for viewing or printing. (Download Acrobat for free.) Due to copyright considerations, some materials cannot be posted on e-Reserves, although Course Reserves staff will make every effort to obtain copyright clearance for all requested items. Materials for which the publisher denies electronic access and entire books will not be made available through e-Reserves. Such materials may be placed on hard copy reserves.
