What are earths processes?

I won’t get into the specifics of what causes earthquakes or floods. Rather I’ll be more general. Because the Earth exists in the way it does things happen naturally as they have for millions of years. Hurricanes are not new. Tornadoes are not either. Flooding, earthquakes, and wild fires help shape the landscape. I think where you can gain points is by writing about how these processes are normal and natural because the Earth is the way it is. Certain processes only become disasters when they happen to people. A 6.9 magnitude earthquake is a disaster when it strikes a highly populated area. If it happens where people do not live, then it is not a disaster. Also, some of these processes can be enhanced or reduced by human intervention. Heavy rain that causes flooding is something that happens from time to time. But, when a dam breaks and causes flooding, then that is a man made flood not a normal Earth process.
