What are dryer balls or dryerballs?
They are a rubberized ball with spikes that you put in your laundry dryer. The intention is that, as mentioned above, these will help to fluff up the clothes in the dryer allowing more hot air to get to the clothes as they are tumbling around and around and around and thus take less time to become dry. The faster clothes dry the less the dryer machine is used and therefore the less electricity (for an electric dryer) is used with the monthly electric utility bill being reduced as well to save one money. However, in searching the Internet I had come across numerous forums and postings where this type of product does not live up to the claims, that drying time was not shortened.
