What are disadvantages of Customising Application Software?
Generally, customising application software is a good thing as it allows you to create a standard corporate identity throughout the documents that everyone sends, it allows you to automate office tasks and procedures etc and create cutomised reports that you just re-run each week / month. The disadvantages are that new employees famillier with the standard application may need traiing in the use of your own customisations so you also need to create training material for that, when you transfer data to someone else you may only be able to transfer the results without any automated macros you created, instalation to a new machine will be slower as you need to load the applications and then your changes and also when a newer version of the application is released, it may not support your customisations.
