What are Disabled Students Allowances (DSA)?

0

DSAs are available from a variety of funding bodies and are used to help pay for extra expenditure incurred to study as a direct result of a student’s disability/specific learning difficulties. The DSA can go towards items of specialist equipment, software, travel costs, the cost of a note taker/other support. Students will need to apply for a DSA from their local authority (LA)/NHS/other and provide evidence of their disability. The DDS can provide students with information on how to go about this and also help them apply.
