What are Directory Services for Email?
Most email software clients (for example, Thunderbird and Apple Mail) can be configured to look up email addresses as you type in a person’s name. This service looks up a name in the College’s email address directory if it doesn’t find the name in your personal directory. Likewise, you can type in a faculty/staff/student email ID and see the name of the person associated with that ID. This works from on-campus, or from off-campus if you are connected through theVPN (virtual private network).
