What are digital slot cars?
In 2004 Scalextric introduced the world to Digital Slot Car Racing. With Digital control you can have up to 6 cars racing in a lane at the same time all with individual control. There are lane changing sections to enable the driver to swap lanes. The Digital controllers have 3 controls – brake, lane change and throttle. It uses standard Scalextric Sport track. Old cars can be fitted with a decoder to make them into digital control. There is a conversion set to enable you to upgrade your old track to digital or you can buy a complete digital starter set.
