What are differences between offsets? What does a higher offset mean?
A higher offset wheel moves the face of the wheel in towards the center of the car. Higher offset wheels are for Foxbody applications that use SN95 or similar brake and axles parts that typically push the wheels out toward the curb. For example, SN95 Mustangs have longer length axles to make room for the ABS sensors. Therefore, if an SN95 axle is used in a 1979-93 Foxbody Mustang, a higher offset wheel is needed to move the face back in toward the center of the car.
