What are diabetic shoes?
Diabetic shoes are shoes that are certified by Medicare to follow exacting standards. It must have a full length heel-to-toe filler that when removed provides a minimum of 3/16th depth to accommodate custom molded or customized inserts. It must be made of leather or a material of similar quality. It must come in at least 3 different widths and be available in full and half sizes. It must have some form of closureusually lace or Velcro.
