What are devices licensed to play DVD discs?
Most DVD discs are encrypted with the Content Scramble System (CSS) technology, which is licensed by the DVD Copy Control Association (DVD CCA) to manufacturers of DVD devices such as DVD players and computers that play DVDs. Only those DVD devices that incorporate the CSS technology can lawfully decrypt and play CSS protected DVD discs. For more information, see www.dvdcca.org.
