Desktop Themes provide a way of changing the way your computer looks and sounds. They will customize your screens background, icons, pointers, system sounds and even Window’s startup/shutdown screens. It is a fun way to liven up your computer. Will Desktop Themes Work On Windows XP? Yes! But you will have to make a small adjustment first. These themes can be applied to your system by switching from “Windows XP Style” to “Windows Classic Style” within your Desktop Properties. Right click on an empty area of your screen’s desktop – Click on Properties – Click on the Appearance tab. Under ‘Windows and Buttons’, Click on the drop down menu and choose “Windows Classic Style”.
