What are departure fees and why do they increase?
Departure fees are determined by the airlines based on a group’s departure and return gateways. These fees, which include fuel surcharges, September 11 security taxes and airport security taxes are directly passed on to the paying participants by airlines and may fluctuate in the months leading up to a tour. Travelers will be informed of changes in these fees via their invoices.
