What are Delta Transactions?
To mitigate the performance penalty of a transaction point, Reliance Nitro introduces a special data structure known as the Delta-Block. A: Delta-Block transaction (also referred to as Delta transaction) allows a transaction to occur by only writing a single metadata block that encompasses all the metadata changes since the last transaction. The Delta-Block contains all the updates to the already transacted state of the media. So in essence, the Delta-Block records the difference between committed state and the working state.
