What Are Decorative / Architectural Louvers?
Generally speaking, architectural / decorative louvers are designed for appearance, and are not functional as air passageways. Most architectural/decorative louvers therefore have closed slats and do not permit ventilation. (However, form as well as functionality can be combined if desired with custom designed and fabricated architectural / decorative louvers from EMW.) Architectural or decorative louvers can be used to disguise or obscure irregularities or equipment that doesn’t need to be seen. However, often architectural /decorative louvers are used simply to enhance the appearance of a building’s exterior or enliven large interior walls.
