What are cursors?
Cursors are those typical white arrows that indicate the position from where we should start typing the text. Cursors get their name from the Latin word cursor that means an object that runs around. Cursors show us where the mouse pointer is resting and where we shall type the text. It is more than often we have a tendency to take Cursors for granted because of their unobtrusive nature. The standard shape of Cursors can be seen on the screen is that of a small white arrow. Usually the mouse is used to operate the cursor. If you want to select any button or tab or keyword you need to take the cursor over it and then double click or single click the mouse button as per requirement. Usually when the Windows is performing some actions, this arrow takes the shape of an hourglass. The cursor also takes the shape of a small hand when placed over any keyword.
