What are Cooperative Education & Internship Programs?

0

The goal of both Cooperative Education and Internships is to provide students with practical experience related to their major that will enhance and complement their classroom learning. Both Co-op students and student interns receive compensation for their work. An Internship combines part-time study — typically enrollment in two courses or six credits or school work — with part-time work that averages at least 20 hours per week. On the other hand, Cooperative education involves full-time work only. Our program’s structure is such that a student may participate in two internship work sessions and have them count as one Co-op work session.
