What Are Cons And Pros of joining the army?
Pros: Steady SALARIED Pay 30 Days Vacation/Year Free Health Care Free Housing or Allowance for Housing Free meals or Allowance for Meals GI Bill (up to $90K for college) Tuittion Assistance ($4500/year) Sense of Pride in your Work Opportunity to Serve somthing greater than yourself Cons: Culture shock when you first start (basic training) Have to follow orders Dont have a choice about going to war or not Time away from family May be exposed to physically and mentally traumatic events May be required to take someones life I have been in the Army for 11 years, its the best Job I have ever had in my life, but I have had some of the worst days of my life in the Army. Overall, its worth it to me.
