What are Conference papers and conference proceedings?
Conferences papers refer to research papers presented at conferences by individual speakers. Researchers often use conferences to present their findings to professional peers in their field. When all of the research papers are made available from a particular conference, this collection of papers is referred to as the proceedings from that particular conference. In addition to papers, proceedings may refer to reports presented at congresses, symposia, seminars, workshops, colloquia and meetings of professional or scholarly associations/organisations, locally, nationally or internationally. Papers presented at conferences can quickly communicate new research to a wide audience of professional peers. They can also provide you with the researchers’ own explanations of their research. Note that not all papers presented at conferences are published in full-text or even available as abstracts. Inspired by: The Library, University College Dublin, Belfield, Dublin.
