What are composting worms?

0

Worms can be used to breakdown organic waste into great plant fertilizer by eating the waste and excreting what we know as wormcast. This method is also known as vermicomposting. Not all worms can be used for vermicomposting. It requires ones which prefer to live on the surface of the soil (soil dwellers) rather then the garden worms which dig down creating burrows (burrowers), and even with soil dwellers there are quite a few suitable types.
