In order to obtain a community college professor job, you will need to complete the necessary educational requirements as well as on-the-job training. You will need to specialize in a particular field and obtain at least a master’s degree. Some community college professors obtain doctorates in their field of study. You will also have to work as a teaching assistant at a college for a certain amount time in order to gain applicable job experience. You could then get a job as a lecturer or an instructor and eventually work your way up to professor, or you may be hired on as a professor.
