“Commander Variables” are used to provide specific information about the trigger at time of task execution. Among other uses, these variables can be used to specify such things as the text file name, the IDoc file name, the trigger file contents, and additional command parameters. Most commonly the “%Trigger File Name%” Commander Variable is used to specify to BarTender that the file that Commander detected and renamed is the same data file to use with the label format when printing.
