Yes, closed captions are very different from markers, although Vegas Pro 9.0e utilizes command markers to work with closed captioning. Closed Captioning is a method of embedding text into a video stream so that people who cannot hear the audio portion of your video can read dialog and informational text to enable them to follow along with the video.
