Most classes are relatively small with high levels of interaction with the instructor. Lab classes vary in terms of homework, some are similar to lecture classes, other have far less homework but more lab work. In addition to class time, students are expected to spend additional time with lab work and preparation for tests. For every hour of lecture you can expect to have one additional hour of study. For every hour of in class lab you can expect one half hour of addition time required for lab work. A 3 credit hour, 5 contact hour course would require a total of 13.5 hours per week on average. There is one full-time instructor and three part-time instructors. Instructors enjoy working with students and have a vast amount of knowledge and experience in the field. Students receive a lot of personal attention and support which may not be available in the university setting. Tutoring is available in math, english, and most CAD courses.
